KARDASHIAN BEAUTY AU NATUREL LIP SET | IN THE NUDE

Hey loves,

So, I have a few bits from the Khroma/Kardashian beauty line but I really wanted to get this post up ASAP.

I was going to lighten the picture above but I am on a trip to Cornwall but I can confirm it is only a smidgen lighter in reality. See swatches in a moment.

It is almost like a caramel nude colour and is very pigmented. This gloss isn't too sticky but there is a slight tackiness to it which enhances it to stay on the lips longer.

Please excuse my tired looking hands and ratchet nails. I need to do them. The dual ended lipstick/liner is a great idea but it does get a little messy at the application points.

I am honestly obsessed with these products to the point of wanting to buy a backup. It's the perfect nude lip for me but that's with a more bronze look. If this were the Winter time I would have to make it a tad darker or more pinker in tone as it would wash me out.

Check out your local TK Maxx for these bad boys or else buy them here :D

Is there anything from the Kardashian beauty range I need to try next? Let me know.

MAX FACTOR CREME PUFF BLUSH THOUGHTS

Hey everyone,

So today I thought I would talk through my thoughts on the Max Factor Creme Puff Blushes.

I bought the shade Nude Mauve. It's coming off quite bronze in the pictures but it is lighter in person.

These beautiful blushes are apparent dupes for the Hourglass blushes but I have not got one so I cannot compare personally. I don't think I would need one with these Max Factor blushes, they are gorgeous.

What I like the most about this blush is how long it lasts on the cheeks. Usually when I put a blush on with the rest of my routine it fades slightly but this doesn't at all.

I honestly think everyone should have at LEAST one of these in their collections. The best way to apply this product is with a stippling brush, I use my Real Techniques one.

Let me know if you have tried these.

ARE YOU BEING BULLIED? TOPIC THURSDAY #1

Hello everyone,

Today I want to briefly touch on a topic VERY close to my own heart. I want to my readers to get to know me and what my life has been about but also I want people to be able to relate to me more.

Sometimes the topics might be fun and pleasant and sometimes the topics will be like today a little more hard hitting and extremely personal.

I've been on the brunt end of a gang of bullies before. It is horrible and embarrassing. There was never a time in school from primary to secondary that someone didn't pass remark on me. I have chosen to block a lot of the comments and actions from my mind because I want to be positive in life and treat people with dignity and respect.

This was me in first year of primary school. see those teeth? Yep that was the main focus of the bullies comments. My teeth did get slightly worse and yes it bothered me. I will give you one instance and then move on. I had turned 16 and I was walking through the school yard to the shelters to go home. I think I was alone. I had gotten maybe half way up when a gang of the popular girls (or so they thought) came toward me with bags of food and buckets. I got pinned to the ground, couldn't move and someone always had my arms and legs so what could I do? I was egged as they called it. In these bags and buckets were gone off foods mixed with liquids and flour. I was covered from head to toe and every name from horsey to lanky streak of shit was yelled at me. I was a slim girl back then and I am tall. How I got home that day I can't remember but my sister did tell me I was a wreck.

My mam never understood why I was so quiet about my bullying but after that instance I had enough. I went to the principal and tried to make my last two years in secondary school a bit better. It kind of worked but at the same time, it never left my mind. Even seeing those girls ten years on makes me feel sick. Some are friends on my Facebook because I am the better person and whilst I'll never really speak to them again, they can see how good I have it now (even when I don't, let them think that).

When I was 18 I had to wear train track braces for 3 years to push the alignment of my jaw line so it was the same as the other. When I turned 21 I had my jaw broke for the alignment to be permanent. It was tough, I couldn't eat properly for a few months and I had my mouth wired shut so I couldn't talk properly. That was my buck teeth problem fixed. A few years after my operation my friend threw my mobile phone towards me and it knocked my front tooth out. All my years of dental work were thrown into disarray. I got over it and this Summer I get my front tooth fixed again for the final time.

The point to my post is this, stand tall and be strong. I see people being bullied online, in person and it drives me bonkers. We have one life to live, why can we not all get along and as a united front be happy for each other?

Always talk to someone, get the help you need. Never be afraid to use that voice you've been given. As someone that's been through bullying, I can say now that I should have used my voice positively back then. The thing I have never done is feel sorry for the bullies. In my eyes, they knew what they were doing. Whilst some people may think differently, always remember it is not your fault.

National Bullying Helpline website have tonnes of information and people on hand for you to talk to should you need to. Never stoop to the level of a bully and no matter how bad the bullying is? Always try rise above and talk to someone.

Always smile and never let anyone bring you down. They're not worth it.

THIS GOOD BOX SUBSCRIPTION BOX*

Hey guys,

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by Lianne at This Good Box and asked to have a peep at their service. Of course I said yes because of their message behind the service.

Do Good. Feel Good. Spreading awesome acts of kindness and showcasing the UKs best ethical brands. I love the idea of helping smaller and more independent brands.

The contents are very cute and as a sample box this isn't bad at all.

I love the quote on the postcard as well as the thank you card. Very cute. The badges will definitely get pinned on my new notice board, when I buy it haha. I love little happy quotes. The bracelet is the prettiest shade of purple and just sparkles when you wear it. I love how it's hand made too.

I like the addition of the tea but have yet to try it. Earl Grey will please a lot of people. The stamp is right up my alley. Anything with a star or heart on it, I am sold. Absolutely sold haha.

You can still buy the box here. It is £12.50.  I love the website and the interviews and stories from each brands owner. I know Lianne the founder will be organising events etc too which is brilliant. I am definitely impressed with these products too as they're quirky.

Let me know if you have tried this subscription box.

SO YOU HAVE OILY SKIN?! | FOUNDATIONS FOR OILY SKIN (DRUGSTORE EDITION)

Hello everyone,

I have oily/dry skin and the one thing I struggle with at times is finding a good foundation for my skin. Let me tell you the good ones I have found.

For the longest time the drugstore catered to normal, dry and combo skin and never really focused on the fact that a lot of people are oily. The amount of times I have bought a foundation 'for all skin types' and it was just plain awful. For so many years I stuck with Rimmel Lasting Perfection because I could sort of get away with using it.

I will briefly talk about the above foundations.

Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude is a water based foundation. It has a dropper type application similiar to that of the YSL Fusion Ink Foundation but that that is where the similarities end. I would consider this to be a medium coverage foundation as it covers well with quite a small amount of product. It can cake up on dry patches so make sure you're moisturised. Other than that it lasts well throughout the day and whilst it doesn't hold oil off, it doesn't emphasise it. I found I had to powder/blot once through a 10 hour day of wearing this. I think there could be a better colour selection though.

The L'oreal Infallible Matte Foundation has coveted the hearts of many oily skinned makeup lovers. I use to use the True Match Foundation but it oxidised on me a lot of the time and that got rather annoying considering I am a fair skinned lady. This foundation has won my heart, I will go as far to say HOLY GRAIL when it comes to this. It's matte but not flat but isn't too much of a satin finish where it's dewy. Does that make sense? I wear the shade Vanilla which is ok for me. I love the medium coverage but you can build it up should you wish. I love LOVE how long this lasts on the skin and yes I would blot throughout the day but not a lot. Definitely give this a go if you have skin like mine. Simply amazing.

I have never really gotten into the BB/CC phase with foundations because none really appealed to my skin type. When I saw a few American YouTubers talk about this Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream and wondered what the fuss was about. It has 2% salicyclic acid in it for blemish prone skin. There are 8 claims to this BB cream; it claims to; hydrate, mattify, it has SPF15, oil free, hides redness, smoothes, evens skintone,

I felt it necessary to show the types of bottles and applicators. I know people hate the Revlon Colorstay because there's no pump.

I can honestly recommend the three I have mentioned above and guarantee you will like at least ONE! Let me know if you have tried any of these foundations and what you thought.

Have a great day,

THE BALM NUDE TUDE PALETTE REVIEW AND SWATCHES!

I feel like I have not blogged in a long long time. I have been super busy and have returned to the UK finally.

WOOHOO!! So here is today's post.

I have been eyeing this baby up for the longest time and finally got it about a fortnight ago. It is so so gorgeous. This palette has a variety of finishes from matte, frost to satin. The packaging is thick cardboard but quite durable. I don't think anything would break if it dropped to the floor.

In the last picture there is an additional picture of SILLY applied wet. These shadows are soft, buttery and amazingly pigmented. They can be a touch powdery but that's not too much of a problem given the pigmentation.

Apart from Silly being the problem eyeshadow a little MAC Fix + can fix that issue (get the joke?).  I cannot recommend this palette enough.

I nearly forgot to mention the primer sample you get. It is a gel type consistency which I'm not sure I like but I'll keep giving it a go. The brush included is ok but I just use my Real Techniques one regardles.

Overall I give this palette a 9/10 it is stunning. I took one mark away for Silly even though it's a shadow I can work with. I have used it with several primers and alone and the shadows last all day. This palette is £30 on ASOS.com.

Have a wonderful day and don't forget to smile :D
