KARDASHIAN BEAUTY AU NATUREL LIP SET | IN THE NUDE

Image
Hey loves, So, I have a few bits from the Khroma/Kardashian beauty line but I really wanted to get this post up ASAP. I was going to lighten the picture above but I am on a trip to Cornwall but I can confirm it is only a smidgen lighter in reality. See swatches in a moment. It is almost like a caramel nude colour and is very pigmented. This gloss isn't too sticky but there is a slight tackiness to it which enhances it to stay on the lips longer.  Please excuse my tired looking hands and ratchet nails. I need to do them. The dual ended lipstick/liner is a great idea but it does get a little messy at the application points.  I am honestly obsessed with these products to the point of wanting to buy a backup. It's the perfect nude lip for me but that's with a more bronze look. If this were the Winter time I would have to make it a tad darker or more pinker in tone as it would wash me out.  Check out your local TK Maxx for these bad

MAX FACTOR CREME PUFF BLUSH THOUGHTS

Image
Hey everyone, So today I thought I would talk through my thoughts on the Max Factor Creme Puff Blushes.      I bought the shade Nude Mauve. It's coming off quite bronze in the pictures but it is lighter in person. These beautiful blushes are apparent dupes for the Hourglass blushes but I have not got one so I cannot compare personally. I don't think I would need one with these Max Factor blushes, they are gorgeous. What I like the most about this blush is how long it lasts on the cheeks. Usually when I put a blush on with the rest of my routine it fades slightly but this doesn't at all. I honestly think everyone should have at LEAST one of these in their collections. The best way to apply this product is with a stippling brush, I use my Real Techniques one. Let me know if you have tried these. Victoria xox

ARE YOU BEING BULLIED? TOPIC THURSDAY #1

Image
Hello everyone, Today I want to briefly touch on a topic VERY close to my own heart. I want to my readers to get to know me and what my life has been about but also I want people to be able to relate to me more. Sometimes the topics might be fun and pleasant and sometimes the topics will be like today a little more hard hitting and extremely personal. I've been on the brunt end of a gang of bullies before. It is horrible and embarrassing. There was never a time in school from primary to secondary that someone didn't pass remark on me. I have chosen to block a lot of the comments and actions from my mind because I want to be positive in life and treat people with dignity and respect. This was me in first year of primary school. see those teeth? Yep that was the main focus of the bullies comments. My teeth did get slightly worse and yes it bothered me. I will give you one instance and then move on. I had turned 16 and I was walking through the school yard to the she

THIS GOOD BOX SUBSCRIPTION BOX*

Image
Hey guys,  A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by Lianne at This Good Box and asked to have a peep at their service. Of course I said yes because of their message behind the service. Do Good. Feel Good. Spreading awesome acts of kindness and showcasing the UKs best ethical brands. I love the idea of helping smaller and more independent brands. The contents are very cute and as a sample box this isn't bad at all. I love the quote on the postcard as well as the thank you card. Very cute. The badges will definitely get pinned on my new notice board, when I buy it haha. I love little happy quotes. The bracelet is the prettiest shade of purple and just sparkles when you wear it. I love how it's hand made too.  I like the addition of the tea but have yet to try it. Earl Grey will please a lot of people. The stamp is right up my alley. Anything with a star or heart on it, I am sold. Absolutely sold haha. You can still buy the box here.

SO YOU HAVE OILY SKIN?! | FOUNDATIONS FOR OILY SKIN (DRUGSTORE EDITION)

Image
Hello everyone,  I have oily/dry skin and the one thing I struggle with at times is finding a good foundation for my skin. Let me tell you the good ones I have found.  For the longest time the drugstore catered to normal, dry and combo skin and never really focused on the fact that a lot of people are oily. The amount of times I have bought a foundation 'for all skin types' and it was just plain awful. For so many years I stuck with Rimmel Lasting Perfection because I could sort of get away with using it.  I will briefly talk about the above foundations.  Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude is a water based foundation. It has a dropper type application similiar to that of the YSL Fusion Ink Foundation but that that is where the similarities end. I would consider this to be a medium coverage foundation as it covers well with quite a small amount of product. It can cake up on dry patches so make sure you're moisturised. Other than that it lasts

THE BALM NUDE TUDE PALETTE REVIEW AND SWATCHES!

Image
I feel like I have not blogged in a long long time. I have been super busy and have returned to the UK finally. WOOHOO!! So here is today's post. I have been eyeing this baby up for the longest time and finally got it about a fortnight ago. It is so so gorgeous. This palette has a variety of finishes from matte, frost to satin. The packaging is thick cardboard but quite durable. I don't think anything would break if it dropped to the floor. In the last picture there is an additional picture of SILLY applied wet. These shadows are soft, buttery and amazingly pigmented. They can be a touch powdery but that's not too much of a problem given the pigmentation. Apart from Silly being the problem eyeshadow a little MAC Fix + can fix that issue (get the joke?).  I cannot recommend this palette enough. I nearly forgot to mention the primer sample you get. It is a gel type consistency which I'm not sure I like but I'll keep giving it a go.
