Essence Haul

Image
Hey beauties, Ooops I bought some stuff. So I was having a really rubbish day in work today (sat, 27th) and popped to Wilko for a nosey. That place gets me everytime haha. In Ireland I could buy Essence so easily and when I moved to the UK three years ago I couldn't get it anywhere. Now they are in nearly all Wilkos *happy dance*. I LOVE ESSENCE! So anyway there were a tonne of products half price or discounted. I grabbed a few things that I knew I would definitely use. I <3 Smokey Jumbo Eye Pencil is a newbie for me but I have used the mascara in this collection before and it's quite decent. It's very black and a semi matte finish. This was £1. I have two other Silky Touch Blushers and love them. Whilst they are pigmented they are light on the skin and last so well. You definitely get the most of your day in wear time. I got this coral shade in Sweetheart for days when I want a soft blush. This was £1. I have had many of the single eysh

Got Oily Skin?!!

Image
Hey beauties, So, let me just start with this 'I AM AN OILY/DRY SKINNED LADY AND I HATE IT'. What's your skin type? I bloody hate being oily, it drives me insane. Now I know there are bigger problems in the world but my mountain everyday is the shine on my t-zone haha. I decided to inform you friendly bunch about the products I think *HELP* combat the shine or the oil on zee face. As far as having a morning routine I have another post next week for that. These products are more night time appropriate. I always make sure to use my Garnier Moisture Match for Oily/Combo skin at night almost immediately after taking my make-up off. I don't use it every single night. It is not the lightest of creams but it definitely soothes the skin. The reason I use it t night as it needs time to settle into the skin. Vichy Idealia cream is so amazing yet so not talked about. I, again, use it at night because has an illuminating factor to it that I think needs time to

MAC 'Please Me' Lipstick

Image
Hey beauties, I thought I would share my thoughts on this wonderful lipstick from MAC. I bought this in Stansted Airport Duty Free recently.  Haul post here. Mac describe this shade as a muted-rosy tinted pink. It is definitely a very wearable nude pink shade. I first bought this about 3/4 years ago and when I was hitting the Duty Free I knew I wanted to repurchase this bad boy. It is a matte finish so it's long wearing but also not too drying. The old style matte lipsticks from MAC were drying as heck but this is comfy. I love it. This lasts about 4 hours on me before I need to either reapply or smooth out the edges. I don't think this shade is talked about enough. Go buy it purleeeeeeeeease hehe. Have you tried this shade? Have you any recommendations for my next MAC lipstick? Victoria xox

Makeup Collection #1 | Lip Crayons

Image
Hey beauties, I have a serious addiction to make-up in general BUT lip products seem to be the one product I have the most of. I went on a two week visit home to Ireland and brought 26 lipsticks with me. That is a seriously weird decision haha. I ended up being home for three months but that's besides the point. So those are four lip crayons I have kept. I got rid of those I didn't use recently. Revlon Colorstay Matte Balms are incredible. I did have three but the pink one I did not like. That one was called 'Showy' and it looked very patchy on my lips. I have 'Standout' and 'Shameless' now and I love them. Standout is that gorgeous blood red I love. Shameless is a deep purple that isn't found often on the High Street, super cute. They look great and vibrant on my lips and last a good 4/5 hours. They also leave a stain on the lips. They are available in Boots and Superdrug for £7.99 each. Next I have a Catrice Pure Shine Balm in Go

bareMinerals BARESKIN Serum Foundation

Image
Hey beauties, Well today I would like to give you my thoughts on the latest bareMinerals foundation. Now I did do a video on my thoughts of this bad boy which is below. I got some info from Sephora's website about this foundation for you guys.  What it is: A breakthrough tone-correcting mineral foundation and skincare serum in one.  What it does: Created with exceptional purity in mind, this ultrathin, skin-perfecting fluid provides seamless adjustable coverage, a natural finish, and the look and feel of beautiful skin while delivering a noticeably brighter, more youthful appearance—it’s like nothing you’ve ever felt before.  I said in the video there were 16 shades but there are infact 20, which is amazing. It is £26 and available  here. Have a peep at my video and let me know what you think please. Xox

Revlon Colorstay Moisture Lip Stains

Image
Well hello there, Have you ever heard so much hype about a product that by the time it got to UK stores, you had no interest? That's me with the Revlon Moisture Lip Stains. I really wasn't phased by them. I seen Revlon had an offer on in Boots (2 for £10 on certain items) and bought one to give it a go. The shade range is not the worst, definitely covers all colour bases. Revlon say ' Revlon Colorstay Moisture Lip Stain. Hours of moisturising colour and glass-like shine that glides on with cushiony comfort for a look that is perfectly pulled together'.  I absolutely love the packaging. It's compact and the idea of being able to see the product is something I am a fan of. The applicator is a typical doe foot one but I think this works well especially as the product is a slightly creamier one. As you can see they are quite sheer but they can be built up with a few layers. The consistency is thicker than a normal stain/gloss which can be gloopy

MAKEUP REVOLUTION AWESOME METALS | MAGNIFICENT COPPER

Image
Hey hi, So yes another Makeup Revolution post but they're pretty hard to avoid. I was very excited to try this bad boy out. I know Stila started this foil eye trend but they difficult to find in person where I live. I saw these on the Makeup Rev  website  and for £4 how could I say no?! The pigmentation is very good, last power equally as good. I love this as a middle of the lid colour, under the bottom lashes or all over the lid with some heavy eyeliner and lashes. Makeup Rev are onto a winner here. Love them. Xox

GUEST POST | TOP 5 MAC PRODUCTS | RASPBERRYKISS

Image
Well hi, Today is a guest post from the wonderful Shannon. This girl is one of my best friends and her beautiful blog is  here   and with over 3000 followers, you know she's amazing.  Want to hear about my top 5 MAC products? MAC products aren't something I purchase often nor do I think they're the best products on the market but their are a few products which I utterly adore and find myself reaching for a lot. These five products are quite possibly my favourites of my little stash and ones I'd recommend  to try. MAC Lipstick in Rebel Rebel is an Autumn/Winter staple lipstick for me. It is simply gorgeous. In the bullet it is very dark looking, almost like a very deep and vampy purple but when applied it is a gorgeous deep berry pink that can be built up or sheered out to your desired colour. I find it compliments my super pale skin really well and I'm a big fan of the slightly glossy finish. MAC Lipstick in Pink Nouveau This is prob

Haul Airport Style | World Duty Free Stansted

Image
So you know when you go away on holidays and unintentionally buy things? That was me this morning (Wed). No self control. Anyway, I thought I would pop this post up tonight as we're taking it easy in the hotel and I am a dedicated blogger. I have been trying out two shades of the YSL Fusion Ink foundation so in the end I went for B20. This will be perfect all year round. Full demo and review coming soon. So MAC in the airport wasn't great. The displays were odd. Anyway, I still bought a travel size of Fix + because it's something I've wanted to try and thought right this is the time. Spain is sooooo hot. I have a huge obsession with lipsticks and it's a tad ridiculous. I had the intention of getting Velvet Teddy again but opted for Please Me. Please Me is a gorgeous pinky nude and suits everyone. I also found a Sephora here in Bilbao, much to my boyfriends delight haha. Have a good week. Xox

Essence 'METAL GLAM' Eyeshadow

Image
Well hello there, Today I bring you a lovely post on something a bit different. I have been a fan of Essence for years. The brand has been available in Ireland for quite some time. I love seeing it on sale here in the UK so check out your local Wilkos. I have one of these eye shadows already in 'Chocolate Jewellery' and love it. It's a beautiful warm, deep brown shimmer. I saw this and fell in love. It's a blue/teal and very shimmery.  As you can tell by the 'metal glam' name, these can be used wet or dry. They really are something special and so so affordable. The only issue for me is the over spray, it is a lot. As you can see it is a bright colour that not just anyone can pull off. I think it works well as a pop of colour on the lower lash line or as a centre of the lid colour.  Once you get past the over spray the colour still has some reflective silver glitter which is gorgeous. These bright shadows make a pop of colour so eas

AUSSIE MIRACLE DRY SHAMPOO

Image
Hello loves, Have you ever wanted to like something so much but you just can't? That is me with this product. I almost feel bad for not liking it. I am a huge fan of the Aussie range in general. I have a huge fondness for the Colour Mate shampoo/conditioner and the 3 minute miracle sachet conditioner. They have saved my hair many a time. I honestly thought this dry shampoo would be amazing. Whilst it doesn't smell as bad as say the Girlz Only dry shampoo it is still a tad stinky. On the bottle it says ' Don't let overwashing dull out your colour. When your hair needs reinvigorating fast, give it a blast of this dynamic dry cleaner with Australian Jojoba Seed Extract.'  Gah, it just is not great. I found it very hard to brush out the grey cast it left on my head with both a brush and my finger tips. It would be very noticeable all day. You might be wondering if it made my hair look washed even though it wasn't? Well no. It looked and felt tacky. That

THE SECRETS OF BLOGGING | TAG!

Image
Hey loves, Well today is a tag post type of day. I saw this tag a while ago and had the questions saved. I don't do enough tags and wanted to do something different today. When did you start blogging and why? I googled a make-up product and saw Fleur's blog and thought it was something I could give a go. Since then I have learned to use my knowledge in a way I enjoy. Seventeen Stay Time Concealer 'EXTRA FAIR'

Image
Well hello there, Today I want to talk about a concealer. I have been testing this out for a wee while now. I use MAC Pro Longwear Concealer on a nearly daily basis but I wanted to find something on the more affordable side to share with you guys, my readers, and to wear in work. Where I work can get to 70-80 degrees Celsius as it's a photography store. It really is the best place to test out make-up etc as I can tell by 6pm if a product can stand the heat and dry air. Now forgive me if I'm wrong but one of the most popular concealers on the High St/Drugstore is by Collection and I really didn't want to try that again. I was browsing through Boots in Stroud and saw the Seventeen stand had a few products my normal Boots didn't have and picked this up. Claiming to last 18 hours is very admirable, I had this under my eyes and on high points for 12 hours and what do you know? It stayed put. It might not have been as bright as when applied like my MAC ca
