Welcome to #JanBlog | Day 1

Image
Hello hello, Happy New Year and may you have a wonderful first day of the brand new year. I was so thrilled with how I was doing with the #BigBlogmasProject that I decided to continue on throughout Jan. I do not see blogging as a chore and the more I blog, the more comfy I feel with the #bblogger community. Everyone is a nice person. If you're still interested then please email me at victoriaearls83@gmail.com OR find me on Twitter #JanBlog There are some guidelines here but all in all it's just to have fun. I hope we can do the meetup at the end of the month as well. Lots of love, Victoria xox

Review: Lime Crime 'Pink Velvet' Velvetine.

Image
Hey all, Well it's nearly the New Year and the start of #JanBlog. I hope you all participate. All info here. Today I have a review on a Lime Crime Velvetine. I bought mine off Love Make Up for £12. They usually retail for £13.50 plus P+P. I ordered this the day after Boxing Day on the 27th Dec and got it this morning (30th Dec). Fast fast delivery, very impressive. Soooo, onto the product. Firstly, the packaging is gorgeous. The roses and colours make it so girly but the glass bottle makes it luxurious. If you notice the applicator is tiny and I mean half the size of a normal one. The colour is definitely different. I thought this would be like my NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in 'Addis Ababa' or MUA Luxe in 'Criminal' but it's not at all. Excuse the awful lip pic. I will do a video today on this and compare it to the others mentioned above. The colour to me almost comes off as a pink/red. It is bright but not super bright like Ba

Hey guys, Second post today. Woop woop. Well basically a few days ago on one of my #BigBlogmasProject posts I mentioned carrying on the posting daily event into January. Read the post here :D What I want to is the following: For everyone participating to blog everyday and to not include Polyvore posts every post.  For us all to support each other and follow each other on all social media accounts. At the end of the month have a meetup and get to know each other. We're all friends doesn't matter how big the blog is.  If you're interested please email me at victoriaearls83@gmail.com. I would say comment below but my comments section acts up all the time. Hope people do this and help encourage each other. Victoria xox

Clothing Wishlist

Image
Hi guys, Just a quick outfit wish list. I love a statement t-shirt and why not this one. When it comes to shorts, the cuter, the better. I love the hat it's so me. The Tory Burch shoes are super gorgeous. This TopShop jacket I think I need asap. I have been eyeing it up for so long. Can we take a moment to oogle the Kate Spade bag? I drool when I see it. All these are on my Polyvore account which I use sometimes.  Have a wonderful day. Victoria xox

LUSH Gift Set.

Image
Hi guys, I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas Day. Today I want to talk about a gorgeous gift set I received. I have absolutely gone mad for LUSH this year. Whilst I've only had the bath products I do want to try some of their face creams and masks as my skin is really driving me crazy lately. I unfortunately got rid of the wrapping before takings pictures but you can see it on the website right here. I love the little sticker on the box. Yay for team work eh!?! Inside you get two bath products, a bath bomb and a bubble bar. I'm really bad at describing anything from LUSH because they use insanely crazy named ingredients but these two are definitely floral. Nothing insanely sweet, just girly and relaxing. I love the bright bubbles from 'Pop It In The Bath' and the confetti from 'Think Pink'. Who doesn't love a pink bath? For £7.95 this is a gorgeous gift. I don't know how long they keep these going for but go and pick one up ASAP. I

Just to say...

Review: Illamasqua 'Lover' Blush

Image
Hey everyone, A belated post for day 23 of the #BigBlogmasProject. I was in Cardiff yesterday and didn't have access to a computer, apologies. When I got to Cardiff I was reapplying my makeup and realised I never packed a blusher. That's not like me at all so I knew I needed to get one (any excuse!). I wanted to get MAC's 'Melba' blush but the queue was insane. I went to the MAC in Debenham's in the St David's shopping centre. I instead researched on my phone very quickly another peach blush and Illamasqua popped up loads. So I got it. When I initially went to the counter I saw 'Katie' and loved that in person. I asked the lady if I could try the 'Lover' blush and it knocked my socks off. It is a stunner. I have never bought anything from Illamasqua before as I never remember them. I did ask for a sample of their foundation but she wouldn't allow it for some reason. This is a gorgeous peach matte blush. There's nothin

Family Time.

My Dad is the Mayor of Wicklow Town. Go on Mal!!!  This was my family at my brothers 21st three years ago. We have all changed so much.   My brother Aaron on the very end in the suit looks awesome in London a few weeks back.   This is my sister Emer and I. My parents came to Cardiff for Christmas two years ago.  My mother Margaret and I taking a selfie at my cousin Stephen's wedding this year.  Emer and Mammy might kill me for putting this up but it's a hilarious picture from back in October. James and I at my cousin Stephen's wedding this year. Love this photo so much. How blooming handsome does James look?!   This picture was taken at my 30th in November. My Nanna Vera, Mammy and I :) My fabulous Aunties Dervela, Bronwyn, Me, Niamh, Nanna, Micheline and Leonora. Taken at my 30th. What a gorgeous pic. More amazing Aunties. Mary, Me, Sadie, Ann, Mammy and Teresa. These are my Mammy's sisters, asides from

Hey everyone, Well today is day 21 of the #BigBlogmasProject. I really have to thank Cole for organising this project and for putting so much into it. I really want to continue on with blogging everyday so I thought of a way to do that but incorporate everyone else. I find that these types of projects or incentives bring bloggers together and you make new friends and learn about products and fun stuff through each other. If you are interested in participating in #Janblog then please comment below OR better still, tweet me here!!  I can only go forward with information when I have a solid amount of people participating. victoriaearls83@gmail.com is my email if that makes it easier to contact me. Have a wonderful night. Lots of love, Victoria xox

Review: ELF Under Eye Concealer & Highlight

Image
Hey guys, Welcome to day 20 of the #BigBlogmasProject. Five more days till the big Christmas dinner haha. Today, I want to tell you all about a nifty little product I got for £3.75, yes you read that right. I went to the ELF store in Cardiff recently and bought a few things. I already reviewed the ELF Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick here. I saw this duo and thought the concept was cool. I decided to just get it as the price wasn't insanely high. There are only three colours so I picked fair. I wanted it to be a little brighter than my foundation to brighten my under eye area. As you can in the picture the applicator is very easy to use and not messy at all. Just the right amount of product comes out as well. I do like this product. I can't knock it at all. It can get a little patchy after a few hours but you're paying under five pound for this, not over ten pound. I especially love the highlight section. It really glows on my high cheekbones. Love that. I will most li

Beauty Things I Suck At!

Image
Hey there, Well today is day 19 of the #BigBlogmasProject. Nearly Christmas, holy moly. Today I thought I would do the infamous 'Beauty Things I Suck At'. I know this is a tag but whenever I tag someone, they never do it. So ya know why bother haha. If you do this then please let me know. Contouring. I cannot seem to get the knack of this at all. I like it on other people especially when you see someone on YouTube do it perfectly.  Gel eyeliner. I have a serious issue with eyeliner on my top lid and winging it out. Just never happens for me and it doesn't help that I have shaky hands haha.   Fake tan. I guess this is a borderline beauty question but it's something I never do. I am fair/pale skinned and kind of love it.  Eyebrows. What I mean is plucking them, again a borderline question. I get them done because it pains me to pluck and just no haha.  Cut creases. Now I will conquer this but for the moment I cannot do it right. I end up getting anno

Review: Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick

Image
Welcome to day 18 of the #BigBlogmasProject. This will be my third post on my blog today. I do apologise. As I have said in my previous post I am having huge issues with comments and them being shown on my blog posts. I get a fair few comments and the emails for them BUT nothing shows up on my blog. This is so frustrating. If you could give me some help or guidance I would love that and love you forever and ever. Onto the review. When I saw the previews and colour selection for the Urban Decay Revolution lipstick range, I was impressed BUT also wanted to make my first purchase something different. I was torn between Shame and Jilted. In the end, Shame won the battle as to speak. These retail for £15 so it's the same price as MAC. What I love about the UD lipsticks is how creamy they are and easy to apply. I use a lip liner with mine just so it doesn't bleed because it is such a dark colour. Another awesome feature is the gun metal casing. So sleek and pretty.

The Versus Series: Perfume Editon.

Image
Well hi there, Yesterday, I was so exhausted from work and not being well I didn't upload my blog post. My day in work was 12-8 but felt like I had been there 8-8. So this is day 17 of the #BigBlogmasProject. This is another edition of my versus series but with perfume. Celebrities are always bringing out perfumes and I thought I would compare two of my favourites. Let's review Britney's perfume in 'Midnight Fantasy'. I think this was originally limited edition but it pops up from time to time in stores. I got mine in Boots on offer for £9.99 for 30mls. I thought BARGAIN! and snatched one up. What they say about this fragrance 'It is a sexy and mischievous fragrance with the strapline Magic begins at Midnight. A delicious combination of florals and musks including freesia and amber.' I would agree with the description. This perfume screams girlyness in a bottle. It is sweet and I haven't ever smelt anything quite like it before. This per

The Lipstick Tag!

Image
Hey-di-hi, Welcome to day 16 of the #BigBlogmasProject :D I hope everyone is well and getting excited for Christmas. The lovely Sophie from A Hint Of Sparkle tagged me in The Lipstick Tag. I love her blog and she is fast becoming one of my great friends. Go check her out and follow too ;) This is my ever so awesome collection. I have a few duds in my drawer that I don't use and didn't want to include them. I am mean to my lippies haha. I love lipsticks, they give so much to your look and outfit. I am very fond of bright and bold colours. So let's get to the questions shall we?? See my MAC Please Me has hit pan :( Booooo How many lipsticks do you own? Um, I own 23 that  definitely use. I have about 5 in a drawer of fails haha. Yes I use them all. I think that's very small compared to some haha. What was your first ever lipstick? I will choose my first ever high end lippy as I can't remember otherwise. I'm old remember :P MAC's Ruby Woo wa

Review: ELF Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick

Image
Welcome to day 15 of the #BigBlogmasProject. Yay! Today I have a review of the ELF jumbo eyeshadow sticks. I went into the flagship store in Cardiff recently and bought this one as I wanted to do more green eye looks and I didn't have an eyeshadow base for over my primer. These bad boys retail for £2.50 so they're half the price of the NYX versions.  Click here to purchase. I must admit I thought I would prefer my NYX pencils but these are just as good. They made my eyeshadow pop a bit more. I will be doing makeup looks on my YouTube channel, click here, next week so look out for that. I am really quite impressed and have a couple more items from ELF to review over the next week or so. I am also in Cardiff next weekend and might make a few more purchases so if you have any recommendations then please let me know on my Twitter. My Twitter acc. Lots of love, Victoria xox Highlights: I get to go to my fave city next week. My nails are finally better
