Morning lovelies, Today is a very different post. On my old blog I did mention my boyfriend James before. I had done some 'days out' posts and featured him. James' name will pop up from time to time. We have known each other for a long time now but today is our 6 month anniversary. I don't care if people think this is soppy or stupid, it's good to be happy and happy for others :P I won't go into too much detail about my past but I have had some ups and a lot of downs when it comes to relationships. I blamed myself but quickly realised something's aren't meant to be, that's life :) When I came back from Ireland after recouping there for five months, I was not looking for any kind of relationship at all. When I started to work in my previous job I certainly didn't expect to like anyone, let alone someone who was a smidgeon older than me. Enter: James! Haha. This man is an absolute treasure. He is so supportive and encouraging. I think

The Versatile Blogger Award

Image
Hey m'loves, Well, the absolutely awesome Hope from  Beauty & Bliss! nominated me for the Versatile Blogger award. Thanks so so much. Mwahhh!  How the Award Works: -Display the award certificate on your blog. -Announce your win, and thank the blogger who nominated you. -Present 15 deserving bloggers with the award. -Link your nominees in this post, and let them know they have been selected for the award! -Post 7 interesting things about yourself. 7 Facts about me; I have a thing about locking the front door. It has to always be locked or I go crazy. I try tone down my Irish accent only for it to become stronger. I am obsessed with wrestling and especially CM Punk. I only drink out of travel mugs at home. I am the eldest of three kids. If I had to be in any movie it would be Grease 2, I love the songs. I have lived in 4 places in a year. Again, thank you so much Hope. I don't have 15 to nominate but I will nominate those I think will do the post.

REVIEW: Catrice Holi Hai

Image
Well hello there, I have a review for you guys today. I am reviewing a mousse, yes mousse blush from German brand Catrice. I am a huge fan of them and hate that I can't access their products often. I get them in Ireland. I received this from Aishling in our swap recently. That post was on my old blog but the YouTube video is right here so watch me!! I love the dusky pink colour of the blush. It's a very flushed cheek colour. Great for this time of the year. the reason there is a tonne of product used already is because you need a good amount to get decent colour pay off. I know the swatch picture looks disgustingly weird BUT I wanted to show the amount of product for a small portion of my hand and how it looks before rubbing or stippling into the skin. When you buff that amount out it barely appears on the skin. It is almost worse than Benefit's Posietint. All in all, I think the colour is super girly and cute BUT the product is a bit of a dud. I want to lik

REVIEW: NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

Image
Herro, How are we? I think a storm is brewing out there. The wind and rain is gross :( Today I have a quick review on a NYX lip cream. I got this off Love Makeup . I have had a look on their website and these seem to be gone at the moment. They only have them in a trio. Grrr. The shade I have is Addis Ababa. I got this shade as I love dark pink lips especially cool tone dark pink. I wasn't sure about the formula at first but there is a knack to these magical things. Hehe. I would recommend coating your lips in balm beforehand, take that off and apply one coat, let it dry and then build the colour to your desire. I have nothing but great things for this lip cream. It is seriously pigmented and long lasting. I team it up with some lipsticks and it adds extra ooph to it. I am definitely going to buy some more of these.  Please excuse the awful lip picture. I haven't gotten the hang of it. This was taken after 4 hours, yes 4! It was still as matte as ever

Review - A Few PRIMERS!

Image
Evening all, Well today I want to talk about some primers I have and discuss in small detail what they're like etc. So we have Benefit's The POREfessional, Urban Decay Primer Potion, Catrice Prime and Fine, Essence I <3 Stage Eyeshadow Base, Too Faced Shadow Insurance and Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray. I have included the setting spray as it is something that encourages your makeup to last longer which is what the others do before application. I have the travel size as I wanted to test it out before I buy a full size. I do feel it helps keep my makeup on longer but it doesn't control my t-zone enough. I'm still unsure of this Urban Decay product. The one and only face primer I have is by Benefit. I got this travel size in a travel size set. I have reviewed that HERE! I do like this product but again not sure if it works. I don't notice a huge difference with it. It comes and goes on my skin like the rain in winter, tee hee! I am very picky with

REVIEW: Rimmel Apocalips

Image
Hello friends, Well another day, another review. Not that I mind. It's also gotten so dull outside but it's not cold.. YET! Asides from all that I hope everyone is well. I know Rimmel have just recently brought out new colours in the Apocalips range BUT I haven't been near a Boots or Superdrug to see them. That's a weekend mission hehe. I want to review the three I have and I think they're popular enough to be helpful if anyone is wondering what they're like. You will have to also excuse some of the lighting the pictures, it was a dull evening. I realise I need more white and that in future. Rimmel say ' It's the End of Colour as you know it! The intense rich colour of a lipstick, enhanced by a satin smooth shine. It's neither a lipstick nor a gloss... It's BIGGER than both!  LONG LIVE THE COLOUR!' I would definitely agree with the shine finish and rich colour. You're paying £5.99 RRP for a great lip lacquer. They

Sausage Casserole..

Image
Hey, Well today is a food post. Sorry. I have a great job working for Le Creuset and my interest in food has been revived. Yay! James and I made a sausage casserole the other night in my 20cm Cast Iron dish from Le Creuset and my God it was amazing. Not only was the flavour enhanced by the quality of the dish it was made in, but it was so easy. So tonight was my night to make it on my own. I am a very fussy eater so dishes like this can be plain to some but lovely to me. Everyone has their own tastes. I did have swede in the first one but we forgot to buy one haha. As there are only two of us I browned eight sausages with butter and not oil. As that was going on, I washed, chopped and chunked up the vegetables. I then popped everything into the bowl and added a tiny bit bit of salt and pepper. I then mixed up the casserole mix, I used one pint of water for this. This one was so inexpensive and is from Lidl. It was so nice too. I then heated up the hob at mark 10. I po

Rimmel vs Rimmel..

Image
Hello there, Today's post is about two Rimmel mascaras. Both are from the 'Scandaleyes' collection. I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with some mascaras. I go through them very quickly. Read on to see did either of these make it onto my Holy Grail list You can buy both products here :) Clickity click Let's start with the Scandaleyes Lyrca Flex mascara. Rimmel say 'The first oversized volume mascara with LYCRA® for soft and flexible lashes. Flexible formula enhanced with weightless LYCRA® technology makes lashes look full and voluptuous but remain flexible, never stiff or brittle! Layer it on now and later for buildable drama!' As you can see the brush is large and gets slightly pointed at the top. Almost like a cone haha. This makes it easier to get into the inner corner. If you were to use this in the inner corner I would suggest wiping any excess product off the want to avoid messy eyelids especially if you've done lo

REVIEW: Benefit Happy Beauty Day Products

Image
Good evening, Well, it's a tad chilly out now isn't it? Don't forget the clocks go back shortly so it'll be dark at 6pm :( Anyways, my review today is one of the sample kits from Benefit. I bought this in Boots in my city and it retails for £9.50. Pack contains a 7.5ml POREfessional, 4m Posietint and a 4g Bad Gal Lash mascara. What I like about the pack is the fact you can sample of the well known Benefit goodies and not have to pay full price for it. Another thing I loved is that you sample it and see if it suits you etc. My thoughts on the products are mixed. I absolutely love the mascara. Bad Gal Lash is something I will purchase in full size soon. I have too many open mascaras at the moment. It has a lovely big brush that really gives tonnes of volume and lengthens the lashes and gets just enough product on them. It doesn't have a weird smell like some mascaras and my lashes were soft even after two coats. Loved it. When it cam

Birthday Wishlist

Image
Well hello there, Welcome to my first post on my new blog. Yay! I decided to do a birthday wishlist for my first post to keep it nice and simple. It's my birthday on the 19th November. In the top left I have NARS Orgasm blusher. I have Sleek's Rose Gold and everyone calls that the ultimate dupe BUT I personally think the Sleek blush is more pinky toned. I have wanted this for a long long time. I think this shade will look nice on my pale skin to almost give a blush/highlight effect. The retail price is £12.50. Next over to the right is Illamasqua's Flare lipstick. I swatched this in Selfridge's London recently and fell in love. Again I love coral tones on my skin and lips, it just really suits me and I have huge brown eyes which brings it all together. This lipstick is so bright and gorgeous, I need it hehe. They retail for £16.50. I couldn't leave out MAC haha. There are a thousand and one things I want from there but Candy Yum Yum is a shade I have be
