Good day to you all,

Have you ever been challenged to come up with a makeup look for a specific place? There are so many unique places in Las Vegas each of which require a different aesthetic.  Have a look at what I mean here.

So today's makeup is a day to night look inspired by the glitzy Las Vegas Aria hotel. So this glam is warm and subtle in the day but a little mysterious and dramatic in the evening. I heard they have a gallery in this hotel and clubs too?! I mean when can I visit?

Excuse my brows, they'll be done this weekend. I chose to keep my face natural and almost peachy for the day look. It looks fresh and cute. I used my Lime Crime Venus palette with a KIKO shadow in 219 on my eyes and I am loving the Jordana Best Lash Extreme mascara too, so black and doesn't smudge. The highlight is from Makeup Revolution and I love the glow as it's more soft and not too in your face for the day time. On my lips I have a peachy lip liner from Essence with MAC's Creme Cup and it's soft, peachy/pink and gives off a nice shine to the lips. Plus this is the perfect look for shopping or being beside the pool. I had to include this pic of my Quay shades and 80's style hairdo as it screams poolside or shopping.

I don't know why I look so nervous in this pic haha.

From what I have heard the Aria is the nicest hotel in LV and I had to really push the eye look and lips for the night time look. I wanted it to be nice and dramatic for dinner, art viewing and maybe a dance in the hotel club too.

I just touched up my Maybelline foundation and added some more concealer to certain areas. A matte powder is a must for me with my oily skin. It all needs to be set down. I deepened my outer portion of my eye lid and crease area with some dark red and brown shadow from my LC palette. I then took my dark brown liner on the lower lid, keeping it close to the lash line and lightly smudged it out with the grey/brown shadow from my palette. I also used my nude Rimmel eyeliner on my water line to keep the eyes looking awake and used the same mascara on the lower lashes.

Using my NARS face palette I bronzed more around my cheekbone area using Laguna and added a more pink and peach blush to freshen the face up, I mixed Final Cut and Deep Throat. I used MAC's Lightscapade to intensify the highlight but still have it skin like. There's no stripes of highlight here.

I love the look of the eyes. It's dramatic but because of the plumish tones it suits all eye colours too. I love this on my brown eyes. The little tiny pop of highlight on the tip of my nose just gives my face more light. For my lips I used Kat von D's Lolita liquid lipstick and a Miners gloss in Beauty Queen. This combo stays on for a long time.

So this is the final night look. I personally love this one the most, I love to have a bold eye and bold lip. I think this would be perfect for a fun filled night out.

I hope you liked this post. Let me know your thoughts.

The Comeback Queen?

Good Morning,

How have we all been? Where have you been and what have you been up to? (Who am I talking to?) :P

I *believe* this is my comeback. I have some favourites for you and a little update at the end.

It's still warm or should I say humid here in the UK so I am still baring with the minimal makeup look.
  • Makeup Geek eyeshadows are EVERYTHING. Pigmented, easy to blend and affordable.
  • Illamasqua 'Lover' blush is a gorge matte peach and suits fair skin so well. I love it.
  • Becca 'Champagne Pop' is too dark on me in the Winter so she's been my bitch this Summer.
  • MAC Burgundy x9 is warm toned and one for the year around. Gorgeous shades with 2 duds though.
  • Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 'Light' is creamy, light and doesn't crease on my tired under eyes. WOOHOO. Also, it's from the high street so cheap.
  • NYX Tame and Frame in 'Espresso' is a great eyebrow product but just a little too warm. Keep the brows good even in rain.
  • Wet N Wild 'Brulee' eyeshadow is the best base over your lid primer. Cheap as chips too.
  • MAC 'Lightscapade' MSF is gorgeous and COOL TONED. My red toned fair skin is pleased.
  • Beneft 'Hoola' is the perfect neutral blush for contouring. Hate to admit I like a Benefit product.

I hate trying to narrow down lip products for fave posts because I always have about 15 to mention. Typical girl. These have been my absolute go to lip products.

  • Sephora cream lip stain in 01 is gorgeous. Matte, not flat, cool toned and pigmented as hell. Not drying either. My lips feel comfy with this and I never get butthole lips.
  • Wet N Wild 'See If I Carrot' is a gorgeous orange, sheer balm. It's got colour but it's not too bright and it's comfy.
  • Kat von D 'Lolita' and 'Bow N Arrow' just rule my life. Lolita is a warm rosy medium brown that looks gorgeous on fair skin. Bow N Arrow is a beige brown and I love it. Perfect everyday nude shade. These are a little drying but not uncomfy and last so long on the lips.
  • Rimmel Provocalips 'Little Minx' is a love/hate product for me but I think I've finally mastered how to use the clear set side now (only took a yr). This is a bright hot pink that pulls cooler in tone on me. These last ALL day, through everything, which is great but they are tough to remove. They don't dry matte, more glossy but very pretty. Anything long wearing like this needs something oil based to remove.
Favourite products posts are always hard to write because what works for you, might not for others. Always remember that. I will include foundations soon as I am testing out a few new ones and old treasures. My skin has changed with all the running I'm doing lately.

I am going to strip the blog back to basics and get it redesigned very soon. I will post 2/3 times per week. So stay tuned. I left blogging for this long because of online bullies but they won't stop me this time.

Let me know what you've been enjoying and I will see you soon.

Well hello there,

I have an exciting video to share with you guys. I got a lovely surprise from my friend in the mail.

COLOURPOP yay!! Living in the UK, these are not available directly to the UK. I think what's preventing them from delivering here is the nature of the products as they are of a mousse type texture which could be broken easily. I could be wrong but it makes sense.

The video has all details so please have a peep and give me some feedback.
